Brockville – Randy Chase, a retired Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) was the first candidate to announce his bid for councillor in the City of Brockville earlier this month in a post on Facebook.
“I’m excited to announce that I am running for City Council in the 2026 Brockville Municipal Election to bring practical, responsible leadership to local government. I’m a retired Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), with more than three decades of experience in finance and governance,” said Chase.
He stated that he has built his career in senior roles across both the private and public sectors, developing a strong expertise in managing complex municipal, provincial and federal funding systems.
“I understand how to budget resources, control spending, and ensure taxpayer dollars are used effectively and efficiently, skills I am committed to putting to work for the people of Brockville,” he continued. “My wife, Dana Culmer, a lifelong Brockville resident, and I are deeply invested in the community and its future. Together, we share a strong belief in preserving the city’s character while planning responsibly for growth.”
Chase said he is focused on three key priorities: responsible financial management, addressing homelessness with sustainable, long-term solutions, and improving community safety and quality of life.
“I believe in a common-sense approach—balancing fiscal discipline with the need to maintain strong municipal services and safe, welcoming neighbourhoods,” Chase said. “I am committed to listening to residents, making informed decisions, and working collaboratively to build a stronger Brockville for everyone.”
