Bunnies Push Win Streak to Four with Pair of 12-1 Wins Over Clinton County Mariners Saturday

Brockville – The Brockville Bunnies won both games on Saturday, beating the Clinton County Mariners 12-1 in both games, where the Bunnies played an impressive error free baseball.

In game 1, Zadok Roiger took the mound for first time this summer and got stronger as the game went on. Roiger went 4 innings, giving up 2 hits with 5 k’s.

Aaron ‘Yammy’ Roy gave up 1 run over 2 innings with Taylor Brayton pitching a scoreless 7th inning. James Spooner with 3 hits (2s,d) leading the Bunnies 14 hit attack. Roiger(d,hr), Matt Barkley (2d), Mark Bowlby (2d,4rbis), while Charlie Todd (2d) and Wyatt Last (s,d) had two hits. Max DeCoteau picked up a single.

In game 2, the bunnies only manage 4 hits, but with 12 walks and a few errors were able to put some runs on the board. Todd went 3 innings with DeCoteau and JJ Easton finishing up.

Last (s,d) had two hits with singles by Bowlby and Pierce Stewart.

Last and Stewart also turned a nice 6-4-3 double play up the middle.

The Bunnies play again next Saturday in Ottawa vs 18u Patriots.
