
Brockville – The Brockville Police Service has charged a 26-year-old, male following an intimate partner violence investigation that occurred on June 14, 2026 at approximately 4:30pm.
On that date, police received a call for service from a female reporting that her male partner had struck her multiple times at their residence on Macodrum Drive. It was also reported that there children were present at the time of the incident.
Officers attended the residence shortly after receiving the call and located the victim. Based on the information gathered, officers formed grounds to believe that an assault had occurred. Police announced their presence inside the residence, and the male suspect was located and placed under arrest without incident. The accused was transported to the Brockville Police Service in relation to two counts of assault. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
While in custody, the accused caused damage to a light fixture within the police facility. As a result, he was additionally charged with mischief under $5,000.00. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
