Brockville Bunnies Dropped a Pair of Games to Watson 19U on Sunday

Brockville – The Brockville Bunnies drop a pair of 10-7 games to Watson 19u on a sunny and hot Sunday afternoon at Fulford.

In game one it was 0-0 after three innings but Watson scored 3 in the fourth and five in the fifth to break the game open. The Bunnies scored five in the seventh but it was too late.

The Bunnies outhit Watson 13-8 but couldn’t get some hits with guys on base early in game which might have made a difference. Charlie Todd (6 earned runs) with the loss, with Max DeCoteau in relief. Nolan Orazietti (2s,d), Parker Ames (2s,d) and Matt Barkley (3s) all with three hits. Eamon Morrison stroked a pair of hits while Zadok Roiger doubled and Wyatt Last singled.

In game 2, the Bunnies held a 7-4 lead after four innings but Watson scored 6 in the fifth due to some shaky defence and that was the ball game.

Roiger (7 earned runs) with the loss with Barkley throwing 2.1 innings of shutout relief. Pierce Stewart (s,d), Ames and Roiger with 2 hits each. Aaron Roy doubled with singles by Barkley and JJ Easton.

The Bunnies are back on the mound on Canada Day, Wednesday at Fulford playing the Montreal Diamonds 16u with the doubleheader starting at noon.
