YELLOW – THUNDERSTORM WARNING for Brockville, Prescott-South Grenville, North Grenville-Kemptville, Merrickville, Charleston Lake-Westport & Morrisburg

Brockville – Environment Canada has issued a YELLOW – Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Brockville, Prescott-South Grenville, North Grenville-Kemptville, Merrickville, Charleston Lake-Westport and Morrisburg for this afternoon.

At 2:48 PM EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location:

  • Elgin
  • North Augusta
  • Morrisburg

Motion – Moving east at 25 km/h

Hazards:

  • Wind gusts up to 90 km/h
  • Rainfall up to 50 mm

  • Williamsburg
  • Spencerville
  • Athens
  • Lyndhurst
  • Iroquois
  • Prescott

Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.
