Leeds & Grenville – United Way Leeds & Grenville has made the decision to postpone its inaugural Top 7 Over 70™ Awards until 2027 as the organization works through a period of organizational transition and ensures the program receives the time and attention it deserves.
The decision was not made lightly. Since launching the program, the community has responded with enthusiasm, submitting nominations that celebrate older adults who continue to make a meaningful impact through volunteerism, leadership, mentorship, and service.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to submit a nomination,” said Ian McFall, Board Chair of United Way Leeds & Grenville. “The stories we’ve received are inspiring, and they reinforce why this program is so important. We want to ensure these remarkable individuals are recognized through a celebration that reflects the significance of their contributions.”
The online nomination form will be removed while planning for the 2027 event gets underway. All nominations already received will be securely retained and automatically carried forward for consideration in the 2027 Top 7 Over 70™ Awards. There is no need for nominators to submit their nominations again.
Additional information about event details, sponsorship opportunities, and timelines will be shared as planning progresses.
