City Launches New Online Portal to Improve Service Delivery

Brockville – Whether you’ve spotted a pothole, a damaged playground, a fallen tree, graffiti, or another concern in the community, reporting it to the City is now easier than ever.

The City of Brockville has launched Citywide Portal, a new online service that gives residents one convenient place to submit non-emergency service requests related to City-maintained property, including roads, sidewalks, parks, facilities, streetlights, signs, and more.

When accessing the Portal, residents can create an account or continue as a guest to submit a request, identify the location, and upload photos or supporting files. Requests are sent directly to the appropriate City department, and residents who create an account can track the status of their requests online.

“The Citywide Portal strengthens the connection between residents and City operations,” said Sandra MacDonald, City Manager. “Residents play an important role in helping identify issues across the community, and this system gives them a direct way to contribute while helping the City maintain public spaces and services more effectively.”

The Citywide Portal is the result of a project that began in 2024 to modernize how the City receives service requests, coordinates maintenance activities, and manages municipal property and services. Since then, the City’s GIS and Asset Management team has worked behind the scenes to build a centralized inventory of City assets and create a system that brings together inspections, maintenance activities, work orders, and service requests.

“This has been a significant undertaking for our team and an important investment in how we manage City infrastructure,” said Peter Raabe, Director of Engineering and Infrastructure. “By bringing asset information, maintenance activities, and service requests together in one system, staff can better coordinate work, track maintenance needs, and plan for the future.”

Residents can access the Citywide Portal by visiting brockville.com and selecting Service Requests and Issue Reporting.
