Brockville – The annual Loaves & Fishes Empty Bowls Fundraiser is taking place this Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at the Memorial Centre Community Hall in Brockville.
The event runs from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The cost is $30 for soup by local chefs and a lovingly handcrafted pottery bowl made by local artisans. $5 for children under 12 and under 5 to eat for free. (Does not include a pottery bowl) Lunch without a bowl is $10.
Tickets can be purchased by e-transfer at financelafb@gmail.com (Please reference Empty Bowls in the message) or by cash only at Echo Clothing co.
There will also be live music during the event.
Proceeds from the event go to Loaves & Fishes.
The hope is that each time the empty bowl is taken from your cupboard, it will serve as a reminder that someone else’s bowl was empty and that on this occasion, you helped Loaves & Fishes alleviate hunger in our community.
