Brockville Police Reports – May 4, 2023: Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Possession/Trafficking Charges, Wanted Male Located for Multiple Offences

Brockville – Police reports from the Brockville Police Service from May 3rd to 4th, 2023.

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Possession/Trafficking Charges:

On May 4, 2023, at about 4:30 AM, police performed a motor vehicle stop in the area of Ormond St. The vehicle was occupied by a 40-year-old, male and a 27-year-old, female.

The male was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. He was arrested and further investigation revealed that the two occupants were in possession of a large quantity of drugs for the purposes of trafficking. The female was also placed under arrest.

Police located various quantities of substances believed to be fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, psilocybin (mushrooms), Xanax and approximately $4,800 in cash. The total value of the drugs seized is approximately $17,000.00.

Both were held in custody for the offences of seven counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and the male was additionally charged with obstructing a peace officer and failing to comply with probation.

Wanted Male Located for Multiple Offences:

On May 3, 2023, at about 3:30 PM, police observed a male in the area of King St. W., who was known to be wanted for possession of break-in instruments and mischief under $5,000.00.

These charges are in relation to an investigation that took place on April 26, 2023. Officers arrested the male and he was released shortly after with conditions and a future court date.
