
Augusta Township – One person is deceased following a single-vehicle collision north of Maitland.
On Friday, October 17, 2025, shortly after 5:30 a.m., members of the Grenville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Leeds-Grenville Paramedics responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch along Rocky Road, near County Road 26.
The driver was found outside the vehicle.
The male, who was pronounced deceased at the scene, has been identified as a 33-year-old from Ottawa. There was no one else in the vehicle.
Grenville OPP is continuing to investigate the collision, with assistance from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, including a Technical Collision Investigator.
Rocky Road will remain closed until the on-scene investigation is complete.
