Kemptville Defeated Hawkesbury 5-1 Friday Night in CCHL

Kemptville – The Kemptville 73’s defeated the Hawkesbury Hawks 5–1 at the North Grenville Municipal Centre on Friday night.

Achim opened the scoring at 2:46 of the first period, and Venance added a second at 5:54. McDougall extended the lead in the second period with assists from Achim and Henderson. Lalonde responded late in the frame for Hawkesbury.

In the third, Davis scored from Henderson and Clookey, and Mbarushimana completed the scoring from Venance and Sweetapple.

Donovan made 22 saves on 23 shots, while Michelow stopped 49 of 54 shots.

The 73s will host the Brockville Barves on Wednesday afternoon. The puck drops at 4:30 pm at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.
