Finding Business Support Services is now Easier

LEEDS GRENVILLE – Businesses and entrepreneurs across Leeds Grenville now have a convenient way to access the resources they need to start, grow, and succeed.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville in collaboration with business support agencies have launched new marketing campaign that will assist businesses in navigating the many agencies available to help them with funding, staffing, networking, training and advisory services.

The Business Support Services Map, is an online tool that brings together local programs, services, and supports in one centralized location. This interactive map allows users to do a customized search based on their location. The map is part of the Counties’ ongoing efforts to improve access to business supports and service delivery for entrepreneurs, start-ups, and expanding companies.

“Each business support agency covers different geographic areas, and this new tool makes it easier for businesses to connect with the right resource,” said Leeds Grenville Economic Development Manager Ann Weir. The various resources include Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development Supports, Employment Services, Community Futures Development Offices, Business Improvement Associations, and Small Business Enterprise Centres.

“There are many supports available for businesses, and in a coordinated effort with the agencies, we want to ensure businesses are aware of them all,” Ann added. “This project is a strong example of collaboration, and is supported with funding from Counties Economic Development, 1000 Islands Community Development Corporation, and Community Futures Grenville.
