Brockville – Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Brockville, Leeds-Grenville, Smiths Falls, Morrisburg & Kingston.
Heavy rainfall is expected Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm.
Showers will move through the area this afternoon, but significant rainfall amounts are not expected. A second system will bring heavy, widespread rain Wednesday night.
Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Don’t drive through flooded roadways. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
