Statement from the City of Brockville Following Tragic Incident on Cartier Court

Brockville – The City of Brockville extends its deepest condolences to the family, loved ones, friends, and all those impacted by the tragic events that occurred on Cartier Court on Thursday, May 7.

Brockville Police continue to investigate the incident and remain the lead agency responsible for providing updates related to the case. As this is an active and complex investigation, residents are asked to respect the investigative process, avoid speculation online, and contact Brockville Police if they have information that may assist investigators. The City has been in contact with Brockville Police and local community support organizations to offer assistance and ensure support services are available to those impacted by this tragedy. Our community partners remain committed to supporting residents during this extremely difficult time.

We will continue to support one another and stand together during this incredibly difficult time. As a gesture of sympathy and solidarity, flags at City facilities have been lowered.”
