Brockville – On May 8, 2026, at approximately 5:30pm, police received a call regarding a female youth who was acting aggressive with individuals at a residence on Karolina Street.
The youth fled the area heading northbound. Officers began to search for the female to check on her well-being and also investigate her bail condition violations.
Officers located the female in the area of the North Augusta Road and the Highway 401. The subject was running back and forth along the lanes of the highway, until officers could successfully contain her.
Once that took place, the female presented a shard of glass and began attempting to stab and cut herself. At that time, with the totality of safety concerns, a Taser deployed to gain control and restore safety for everyone as soon as possible.
The subject was taken to the Brockville General Hospital to assess her overall well-being and any injuries can be described as non-life-threatening.
The subject is facing charges for failing to comply with release order conditions and will appear at the courts on a future date.
