Brockville – The Affordable Mixed Income Rental Housing program is designed to add another housing option along the housing income continuum in Leeds and Grenville. These units are intended for households whose incomes are too high to qualify for Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) housing, but who may still face challenges finding affordable rental housing within the private market.
This program complements, not replaces, existing social housing programs. RGI housing continues to be available for eligible households with lower incomes, where rent is based on approximately 30% of household income. Individuals and families whose incomes fall below the eligibility range for the Affordable Mixed Income program may still qualify for RGI housing and are encouraged to apply through the Social Housing Registry.
