
Leeds County – Leeds County OPP laid impaired driving charges to two drivers in separate incidents with in a span of four hours apart on Wednesday, June 17.
OPP say just after 3:30 p.m. on that day when an OPP officer on patrol along Highway 15 observed a vehicle allegedly travelling at an excessive speed.
The driver was pulled over by the OPP and found to be impaired. The 53-year-old Lyndhurst man arrested and charged with impaired operation, impaired operation with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, operation while prohibited, and stunt driving for excessive speed.
OPP said the vehicle was impounded for 45 days and the accused was held for a bail hearing.
Then shortly before 7:30 pm on the same day, OPP said that a concerned citizen reported that a driver involved in a collision may have been impaired.
Following an investigation by the OPP, a 44-year-old Stittsville woman was charged with impaired operation with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
OPP said the driver’s vehicle was impounded for seven days.
