
Brockville – On Friday, June 26, 2026, around 9:30 p.m., a Leeds County OPP officer was travelling on Parkedale Avenue in Brockville, when an oncoming vehicle was observed in the officer’s lane.
A traffic stop was conducted, and a roadside screening device was utilized. The driver was transported back to detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, a 63-year-old male of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Québec, has been charged with Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on August 7, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
