Brockville – On November 10, 2024, at about 3:00 am, police received a call in relation to a road rage incident. Investigation revealed that two small groups of people had an altercation in the area of Shoppers Drug Mart, on King St. W.
This led to the parties driving/following one another, in the downtown area, to the vicinity of Delhi St. and Perth St. That is where officers located the parties involved.
There, information was reported of a physical altercation that had taken place between two of the subjects. While speaking with those involved, it was discovered that one of the drivers identified to be a 20-year-old, male, was showing signs of impairment.
A roadside breath test was administered, which, failed. He was arrested and taken to the Brockville Police Service for further testing. This confirmed that he was operating the vehicle while impaired.
The vehicle was impounded, the driver’s licence suspended and the charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. The subject was released with a future court date.
