Westport Lumberjacks Won 7-2 Over Madawaska Saturday in EOSHL

Westport – The Westport Lumberjacks won a 7-2 decision over the Madawaska Valley Wolves on Saturday in EOSHL action in Westport.

The first period saw goals by Lucas Logie (#15 Tyler Murphy, #7 Evgeni Petrenko) and Dawson Fawcett (#12 Michael Anson) to give the Lumberjacks a 2-0 lead at the end of the first.

Benjamin Langille (#12 Brett Mckenzie, #17 Jared Steege) would score the first goal for the Valley Wolves in the second period. Westport’s Kylan Tavares (#71 Jayden Boyer, #12 Michael Anson) would score another for the Lumberjacks in the second. Madawaska would score one more before the end of the second. Westport leads 3-2 at the end of the period.

In the third period it was all Westport as they scored four more on goals by #48 Dawson Fawcett (#15 Tyler Murphy), his second of the game, #15 Tyler Murphy (#55 Kylan Tavares, #25 Tyler Ollson), #13 Devon Burns (#12 Michael Anson, #71 Jayden Boyer) and #13 Devon Burns (#12 Michael Anson, #71 Jayden Boyer).

The Lumberjacks are off until after Christmas. They will be in Smiths Falls this Saturday starting at 7:30 pm.
