Targeted to Funding Recreational and Cultural Capital Projects

Brockville – The City of Brockville’s Legacy Fund is currently accepting 2025 applications. Applications may be submitted beginning today, Monday, March 3, 2025
Applications are to be submitted using this Legacy Fund Application Form.
The deadline for applications is Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 4:00 pm.
The City of Brockville Legacy Fund is targeted to fund recreational and cultural capital projects. The allocation committee consists of two members of City Council and the two most recent Citizens of the Year.
Qualifying projects will be determined by this four-person committee. This year, there is approximately $9,000 to be divided and distributed to qualifying projects.
The 2024 Legacy Fund allocations:
- Brockville Bunnies $4,000
- DIFA Foundation $800
- Brockville Municipal Heritage Committee $3,000
- Leeds and Grenville Interval House $1,500
Criteria:
- Eligibility – the Brockville Legacy Fund is a capital grant. We do not fund operating costs, for instance, insurance or rentals. The funds must be used to purchase an asset.
- Community needs – Projects that most help address a community need.
- Project scope – A clear idea of what the benefit to the community is and the likelihood of success of the project.

The Legacy Fund was established in 2009 with an allocation of $200,000 from the City of Brockville into a fund under the management of the Brockville Community Foundation. Annual earnings from the invested funds, less a 2% management fee, are distributed in Brockville to organizations.
