
Brockville – On May 25, 2025, at about 4:30 pm, Brockville Police responded to the area of Stewart Boulevard and Central Avenue, in regards to a motor vehicle collision. Information provided was that one of the drivers was believed to be impaired.
The suspect vehicle left and was abandoned in a nearby parking lot, with the driver observed walking from the vehicle.
Officers located the driver, who was identified to be a 35-year-old male. Police observed that the male was exhibiting severe signs of impairment and was arrested.
He was taken to the Brockville Police Service for testing. This confirmed that he was impaired and that he was operating more than four times over the legal limit.
His licence was suspended, vehicle impounded and charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. No one was injured in this incident, and he was released once sober with a future court date.
