
Brockville – On May 26, 2025, at about 5:00 pm, Brockville Police received reports of a child who had been struck by a vehicle in the area of Central Avenue and Ormond Street.
Police arrived on the scene and discovered that a youth had run out onto the street and collided with a pickup truck travelling legally on the roadway. The street was blocked off to control the scene and protect everyone in the area, and Paramedics attended.
The child did sustain a non-life-threatening injury; however, the injury was still considered serious in nature, and they were taken to the Brockville General Hospital. Investigation revealed that this was an unfortunate set of circumstances, for which there was no fault on the driver and no charges issued.
