Brockville – The City of Brockville has a Public Notice. Caution on the evenings of Wednesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 19, 2025, as Roadway Line Painting gets underway.
The City understands that this is short notice. Scheduling work with the proper weather conditions for painting is challenging.
Please avoid parking on the street tonight wherever possible. The City of Brockville assumes no responsibility for paint damage claims from motorists who cross wet paint lines.
Should you encounter a line painting crew on the road:
Do:
- Slow down and stay well behind the truck.
- Obey the warning signs on the truck.
- Be patient;
- Unless otherwise directed, wait for the truck to pull over before passing.
Don’t:
- Pass, unless the warning signs direct you to do so;
- Cross the centerline.
Should your vehicle receive any paint splatter:
- Go to a car wash as soon as possible.
- If the paint does not wash off, spray the affected area with WD-40 and allow it to dry for 2 hours, then rewash the vehicle.
- If the paint remains, consider submitting a claim to your insurer.
Your cooperation is appreciated.
