Lansdowne – This truck caught the attention of Leeds County OPP members on Saturday when they saw it going 57 km/h on Highway 401 near Lansdowne, for no apparent reason.
The driver had no commercial vehicle documentation and no records for hours of service, the truck was overweight, and the driver did not have the proper class of licence. There were also multiple mechanical safety violations, and there had been no annual inspections or CVOR.
A total of 18 tickets were issued to the driver and his company, adding up to $5600 in fines. The plates were removed, and the vehicle was declared “unfit” after a full OPP and MTO inspection.
We deliberately obscured graffiti on the side of the truck to prevent the tagger from gaining any extra “fame”.
