2026 City of Brockville Monday, August 3rd Civic Holiday Schedule

Brockville – The Civic Holiday is an important and unique holiday across Canada that allows us to celebrate local heroes, culture and history. We especially honour all the people who make Brockville the best place to live in and visit.

There’s plenty happening in and around Brockville this long weekend. Be sure to check out Brockville Tourism for local events, outdoor adventures and activities taking place throughout the community.

What’s Closed:

Municipal administrative offices will be closed on Monday, August 3 including:

  • City Hall (1 King Street West)
  • Gord Watts Municipal Centre (251 North Augusta Road)
  • Wastewater Treatment Centre (1807 County Road 2 East)
  • Water Filtration Plant (20 Rivers Avenue)

The following city services and facilities will also be closed on Monday, August 3:

Waste Collection: No collection. Collection will be on the following day of your regular pickup. Please put out your items one day after your usual collection day for the remainder of the week. Download the 2026 Waste Collection Calendar.

  • Compost Site, Gord Watts Municipal Centre, 251 North Augusta Road
  • City Transit: No service
  • Brockville Arts Centre, 235 King Street West
  • Brockville Public Library, 23 Buell Street

What’s Open:

The Brockville Tourism Visitor Information Centre, 16 Market Street East, and the Brockville Museum, 5 Henry Street, will be open on Monday, August 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Look for our Tourism Students out and about this holiday weekend.

Canada Day Firework Display Rescheduled Date:

Due to weather conditions during this year’s planned Canada Day fireworks display, the event has been rescheduled to Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Join us at Blockhouse Island at 9:00 p.m. for the firework display.
