Eighteen Year-Old Suspect Arrested for Multiple Thefts, Robbery & Weapon Assault

Brockville – An eighteen year old male was arrested in connection with multiple thefts at north end retailers on February 19th, 2026 according to Brockville Police.

Police say that the male suspect was charged under the Trespass to Property Act. Then at approximately 1:20pm, police responded to a theft in progress at another north end retailer, where the same male was arrested for Theft Under $5000.00.

An investigation with a search revealed additional stolen merchandise, linking the accused to another recent theft from a north end business.

Police then said they were called to Mrs. B’s Variety following a report of a robbery later on February 19th around 5:50 .pm. According to police, the same suspect had entered the store with his face disguised and demanded money from the store clerk.

When the store clerk refused, the accused then brandished a knife that he took from the store and a brief altercation ensued. The clerk successfully removed the accused from the store, but he re-entered and stole an alcoholic beverage before finally leaving. The store clerk received minor injuries according to police. Police stated after further investigation the suspect was identified.

Around 6:49 p.m. that same day police received a call regarding a break and enter in progress at 69 King Street. Officers responded and located the suspect identified from the robbery at Mrs. B’s Variety, hiding from police within the unit.

The male suspect has been charged with break and enter, robbery, theft, and assault with a weapon. The accused was held for bail and remains in custody pending a future court date.
