Prescott — The smell of award-winning barbecue, live entertainment, family fun, and community spirit will once again fill the waterfront as Prescott Ribfest returns from May 29–31, bringing residents and visitors together for one of the region’s signature kickoff-to-summer celebrations.
More than just a weekend festival, Prescott Ribfest serves a meaningful purpose. Proceeds from the event support the local Boys and Girls Club (BGC South East), helping fund prevention-based programs and critical supports for children and youth in Leeds & Grenville.
Funds raised through Ribfest directly support programs designed for youth ages 8-16, an important stage of development where access to safe spaces, mentorship, recreation, social connection, leadership opportunities, and skill-building can have a lasting impact.
“As the need for accessible youth programming continues to grow, community events like Prescott Ribfest play an increasingly important role in ensuring young people have the support and opportunities they need to thrive,” says Bev Heuving, Director of Programs & Evaluation at BGC South East. “When people come out to enjoy Prescott Ribfest, they’re not only experiencing a fantastic weekend of family fun; they can feel good in helping strengthen supports for local youth.”
Prescott Ribfest also reflects the strong partnership and collaboration between BGC South East and the Town of Prescott, bringing together organizations, businesses, volunteers, and families to create an event that celebrates community while investing in the future of local youth.
Festivalgoers can look forward to a full weekend of attractions, including:
