
Brockville – The Brockville Operatic Society’s Production of Lionel Bart’s OLIVER begins tonight at the Brockville Arts Centre. Tonight’s performance begins at 7:30 pm.
This classic tale, infused with vibrant music and captivating choreography, is set to memorable tunes such as “Oom Pah Pah,” “Consider Yourself,” and “Food, Glorious Food.” The musical follows the orphan Oliver as he navigates the streets of Victorian London, from the squalor of the workhouse to the underworld of pickpockets and thieves led by the charismatic Fagin.
Exploring themes of resilience, friendship, and the quest for belonging, the musical is set against the backdrop of a society divided by wealth and poverty. With its catchy melodies and compelling storytelling, “Oliver” continues to captivate audiences of all ages, offering a timeless tale of hope and redemption amidst adversity.
